Worcester, MA (July 1, 2018) – Saturday afternoon turned out to be anything but leisurely for officers with the Worcester Police Department. Several car accidents were reported across the city which kept officers busy responding to calls. One such call came in around 5:00 pm. This accident occurred in the 100 block of Dorcester Street.
Police quickly arrived on scene within minutes of receiving the initial dispatch. Upon arrival, it was apparent that at least one person had suffered injuries in the crash. A medical unit was asked to respond to the scene to treat the injured. Medical assistance was then given. There is no further word on the condition of the accident victims or the cause of this crash. Traffic on Dorcester Street was slowed temporarily while the crash scene remained active. Officers are continuing to investigate the accident and its underlying cause at this time.
Boston Car Accident Attorney
No one wants to think about being involved in an injury accident. The prospect of a long road to recovery, potential time off of work and debilitating injuries leading to a loss of quality of life are things that scare many accident victims in the aftermath of a crash.
A car crash can cause very serious and catastrophic results for those who have been injured. Most crash victims have no warning that the crash is about to occur and therefore have no time to avoid it or defend themselves from the full impact of the crash. In many cases, drivers are fortunate if they can walk away from a car crash without serious injury. A matter of inches can make the difference in a fatal crash and a less serious one. In this case it appears, very fortunately, that all involved will be able to recover from the crash and move on with their lives.
