Lowell, MA – Motorcyclists Injured After Colliding with Car

Lowell, MA (July 2, 2018) – Two motorcyclists in Lowell, Massachusetts collided with a car on Sunday resulting in injuries to the motorcyclists. Police say that a 39 year old woman from Lowell and a 38 year old man from Dracut were riding a motorcycle near the corner of Lakeview Avenue and Fisher Street on Sunday afternoon. The motorcycle then collided with a Sedan turning off of Fisher Street.

Witnesses at the scene reported that the collision caused a compound fracture for one of the motorcyclists. Emergency units, along with police, rushed to the scene. Lowell firefighters were also called to the scene to clean up a spill caused by the crash. The injured riders were taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital where their condition is currently unknown. The operator of the sedan escaped the crash without injuries.

Police have not released a cause for the crash nor have they said who might be responsible. Traffic in the area was shut down for at least two hours while police remained on scene to investigate. No other information was immediately available.

Taunton, MA – Motorcyclist In Fatal Crash Identified

Taunton, MA (June 29, 2018) – Yesterday we reported on a serious crash involving a car and a motorcycle that took place in a Taunton neighborhood. The crash occurred when a motorcyclist traveling through the neighborhood struck a car that was backing out of the driveway. Police described the impact as the motorcyclist broadsiding the car.

Today there is sad news from that collision. The involved motorcyclist, who was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries, has died. Police have identified him as 20 year old Tiago Amaral of Taunton. The driver has been identified only as a 46 year old man. Weather conditions were wet and rainy at the time of crash. Police in Taunton he emphasized that the crash remains under investigation and, at this time, there is no word on potential charges.

Motorcyclist Seriously Injured After Collision with SUV

A Tuesday night crash has left a motorcyclist in Chelmsford with very serious injuries. Responding officers first got a call just after 7:00 about a motorcycle lying on the ground in pieces at High Street and Acton Road. When officers got to the scene they discovered the injured motorcyclist as well as an SUV that had been involved in a collision with the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist was suffering from very serious injuries because of the crash. He was transported to Lowell General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The SUV driver was not injured and cooperated with police on scene.

The speed limit in the crash area is 25 mph, but there is no word on what caused the collision. Police continue to investigate the crash. The motorcyclist has not been immediately identified except as a 21 year old man from Lowell, Massachusetts.
