Freetown, MA (June 30, 2018) – An accident over the weekend in Freetown, Massachusetts caused multiple people to be hospitalized for injuries. Massachusetts State Police responded to Interstate 40 amid reports of a serious accident involving multiple vehicles. The accident happened in the southbound lanes of the highway involving a Ford Transit Van, an Acura and a Corolla.
There is no word on how the accident occurred. State police report that three people were transported to hospitals, two were taken to Rhode Island Hospital and the third, an 8 year old boy was transported to Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence Rhode Island. The seriousness of the injuries could not be immediately confirmed. Massachusetts State Police are continuing to investigate the accident and what may have caused it to occur. A State Police Spokesman on Saturday confirmed that no charges have been filed at this time.
