Police in Boston were busy responding to numerous injury accidents on Tuesday evening. In most cases, drivers involved remained at the crash scene and cooperated with the police investigation into the accident. However, in the case of an accident that occurred on Baker Street, at least one driver decided to flee the scene prior to police arrival.
An accident with injuries was reported to Officer Joanne Byrne at 9:42 pm. Officer Byrne arrived to the Baker Street location where she was dispatched and found a person who had sustained injuries in a recent motor vehicle crash. Through witness statements and her own observations, Officer Byrne concluded that this was a hit and run crash. The other driver has not been located by Boston police and the crash investigation remains ongoing at this time. It is expected that charges will be brought as a result of this crash. We hope for the speedy recovery of the injured victim in the meantime.
