Pedestrian accidents can be some of the most lethal of all vehicle-related accidents. This is because pedestrians are vulnerable as they are not protected by a vehicle or other protective gear. Drivers must remember to watch out for pedestrians, and pedestrians must remain aware of their surroundings.
On May 27, the Boston Police Department received information about a motor-vehicle accident involving pedestrian injury at approximately 5:00 p.m. Officer Connor Murphy was dispatched to the scene at 85 Southampton Street, and other emergency personnel arrived shortly afterwards.
First responders found one victim was suffering from injuries, so they administered medical care at the scene. The injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, but their return is still being determined. Statements were taken from those involved in the incident. This incident is still under investigation.
