Ludlow Pedestrian Accident Injures TeenBoston, MA (June 30, 2018) – A pedestrian in Boston was injured after being struck by a vehicle on Friday.  The pedestrian was struck while walking on Blue Hill Avenue at 8:42 am.  Police on scene report that the pedestrian was injured as a result of the collision but have not confirmed whether the pedestrian suffered any serious or life-threatening injuries.

Unlike other injury accidents that took place in Boston Friday, the vehicle driver remained on scene and cooperated with the police investigation into the crash.   It is not known whether the pedestrian was in a crosswalk or other marked area when the crash occurred or whether the vehicle driver will face charges for causing the accident.  Police are continuing to investigate this crash.  Should any additional information become available we will bring it to you.

download-4-1Boston, MA (June 30, 2018) – Police in Boston responded to two hit and run injury accidents in Boston Friday.  One accident, which we previously reported, occurred on Columbia Street.  The second accident happened around 10:00 pm on Bipsham Street.  Officer Vladimir Levhichev responded to the scene.  This crash involved two vehicles.  Injuries were sustained in the accident but they are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.

Officer Levichev looked for the hit and run suspect but they were not able to be located in the immediate aftermath of the crash.  The accident remains under further investigation by the Boston Police Department.  No additional details surrounding the accident have been released by police.

Accident Involving Police Vehicle on Causeway StreetBoston, MA (June 30, 2018) – Boston police were called to the scene of a hit and run on Friday.  The crash originally took place on Columbia Road at approximately 1:30 pm.  Police received a call around that time regarding a possible accident with injuries and responded to the scene.  Upon arrival, one vehicle was located along with a person suffering from injuries sustained in the crash.  Officers were unable to locate the other vehicle.  Upon speaking with witnesses, it was determined that the other car left the scene prior to police arrival.

The area was searched, however, the other driver could not be located.  It is expected that they will face charges for leaving the scene of an injury accident.  There is no word on the condition of the injured victim or their identity.  The Boston Police Department is still investigating the crash.

download-3-5Falmouth, MA (June 30, 2018) – A child was airlifted to a local hospital after a near-drowning incident at a hotel pool in Falmouth on Friday.  Authorities have not released the nameof the child involved, however, they say that that it is a 10 year old.  The 10 year old was inside a pool at the Sea Crest Hotel around 2:45 pm Friday when the distress call came in to police and emergency officials.

Officers responded to the scene.  The child was evaluated and then airlifted to a Boston hospital for immediate medical attention.  There is no word on the child’s condition at this time and police in Falmouth are still investigating the incident

download-2-5-300x150Lawrence, Massachusetts (June 30, 2018) – A man was struck and killed by an MBTA train on Friday morning in Lawrence, Massachusetts.  Reports of the crash came in just after 11:00 am regarding the man being struck by the train at 65 Merrimack Street.  The man, identified only as a 49 year old, was sitting on the platform tracks when the train came by and struck his legs.  He was pronounced dead at the scene by police and medical workers.

Both the Essex District Attorney’s Office along with the MBTA are investigating the crash.  It is not clear if the man was at fault at this time.   No further details regarding this crash have been released.

1073287_beer-300x200Shirley, MA (June 30, 2018) – The driver in a fatal crash that took place on Thursday in Shirley, Massachusetts has now been identified by police.  The crash happened Thursday night around 11:00 pm at 134 Great Road.  The accident involved two vehicles and both sustained heavy front end damage as police arrived on scene.

One woman was transported to the hospital where she later died from the injuries.  Police identified the driver who caused the collision as 39 year old Victoria Marble.  Marble was arrested on the scene and toxicology tests were administered.  She has since been charged with OUI, reckless operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lane violation.  The name of the deceased has not been released by police at this time.

images-1Cambridge, MA (June 29, 2018) – A two car accident took place in Cambridge, Massachusetts Friday morning.  The crash occurred at the intersection of Main Street and Broad Canal just after 8:00 am.  Two vehicles were involved in the crash, although Cambridge police have not said how the accident occurred.  One person was injured in the crash and was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital.  The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Main Street was closed briefly while police investigated the accident and cleared away debris and wreckage from the scene.  Traffic was delayed momentarily while police were on scene but began flowing again once the road was re-opened.  Cambridge police have not identified those involved in the crash or released any further information.  There were no charges immediately filed.

download-3-4Wellesley, MA (June 29, 2018) – Police in Wellesley, Massachusetts responded to a two car crash along Route 9 Friday.  The call came in just after 10:00 am in reference to a crash with injuries on Route 9 at Westgate Road. Wellesley police along with fire and EMS officials responded to the scene.  Police discovered that at least one driver was injured in this crash.  The injuries are described as not life-threatening.  The injured driver accepted medical care on the scene.

Police are still investigating the circumstances leading up to this crash.   The names of the drivers have not been released nor has a cause for the collision.  Traffic was momentarily affected by the crash but soon returned to its normal flow after the wreckage was cleared away by police.

Pedestrian Accident at South Hampton StreetHaverhill, MA (June 29, 2018) – A woman in Haverhill, Massachsuetts suffered serious injuries after being struck by a pickup truck on Friday morning.  According to Haverhill police spokesman Stephen Doherty, the collision occurred at 7:07 am when the woman was walking north along 76 Merrimack Street.  At that time, she was  struck by the pickup truck.

The woman was transported to Lawrence General Hospital with critical injuries.  Upon arrival at Lawrence, she was then airlifted to a Boston hospital for additional treatment said Haverhill Fire Chief William F. Laliberty.  She is currently listed in stable condition.  As of 10:00 am, no criminal charges had been filed against the driver of the pickup, however, the crash remains under investigation.  It is not know if the woman was in a crosswalk when she was struck. No further information was immediately available.

graveyard-199x300Taunton, MA (June 29, 2018) – Yesterday we reported on a serious crash involving a car and a motorcycle that took place in a Taunton neighborhood.  The crash occurred when a motorcyclist traveling through the neighborhood struck a car that was backing out of the driveway.  Police described the impact as the motorcyclist broadsiding the car.

Today there is sad news from that collision.  The involved motorcyclist, who was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries, has died.  Police have identified him as 20 year old Tiago Amaral of Taunton.  The driver has been identified only as a 46 year old man.  Weather conditions were wet and rainy at the time of crash.  Police in Taunton he emphasized that the crash remains under investigation and, at this time, there is no word on potential charges.
