Boston, MA – Injuries Reported in Friday Morning Crash

Boston, MA (June 30, 2018) – A crash on Friday morning resulted in injuries to at least one person. The accident took place mid-morning, around 10:30 am. Officer Paul Sheehan of the Boston Police Department was the first officer to arrive on scene. Officer Sheehan was assigned to complete the subsequent crash investigation.

Unfortunately, there are reports that at least one person was injured in this crash although it is not known at this time whether the injuries are serious or life-threatening. A cause for the crash has not been determined nor have officers determined who may be at fault. Police will consider a variety of factors when concluding their investigation such as whether one driver was speeding, inattentive, failed to comply with traffic signals or was otherwise negligent in causing the crash. Depending on the outcome of the investigation and the facts surrounding this crash, the injured victim could have a claim for personal injuries against the other driver.

Boston, MA – Accident on Columbia Causes Injuries

Boston, MA (June 30, 2018) – Boston Police were busy on Friday responding to numerous accident across the city. In at least two of those accidents, they were faced with a hit and run situation. In several other accidents, while the drivers remained on scene to speak with, at least one person was injured due to the negligence of another driver.

A multiple vehicle accident with injuries occurred at 1:30 pm Friday on Columbia Road in Boston. Officer Paulo Pereira of the BPD was on routine patrol when the accident call was received. Offier Pereira responded to the scene to provide assistance and investigate the crash. Upon arrival, Officer Pereira located one person suffering from injuries that were sustained in the accident. The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Officer Pereira conducted a thorough crash investigation. At this time, however, the cause of the crash on Columbia Road is unknown. Police have not released the names of the drivers involved.

Boston, MA – Accident on Walk Hill Street

Boston, MA (June 30, 2018) – An accident in the 700 block of Walk Hill Street left one person injured on Friday. Boston police responded to reports of a multiple vehicle accident involving injuries 12:38 pm. Officer Anthony Alexis of the Boston Police Department was among the first officers to arrive at the scene of this crash. After surveying the situation involving the injured victim, it was decided that medical treatment was needed at the scene. Paramedics also responded to the crash and provided medical treatment. An ambulance then transported the injured victim to a nearby hospital.

At this time, we do not know how the crash occurred. The Boston police investigation continues and they have not released additional details surrounding the events that led up to the accident. If we learn any further information we will bring it to you as soon as possible.

Boston, MA – Accident on Norwell Street Causes Injuries

Boston, MA (June 30, 2018) – An accident in Boston left one person with injuries on Friday. The accident happened at 6:30 pm on 255 Norwell Street. Officer Emly English of the Boston Police Department answered the call for assistance and responded to the scene of the crash. There, she located at least one person suffering from injuries caused by the crash. There is no word at this time on the sequence of events leading to the accident or the condition of the injured victim.

Officer English secured the scene and diverted traffic flow around the accident while she investigated. The identity of those involved was not immediately released and it is unknown if charges are expected to be filed at this time. We hope for the full and quick recovery for anyone injured in this crash on Norwell Street.

Boston, MA – Pedestrian Hurt on Blue Hill Avenue

Boston, MA (June 30, 2018) – A pedestrian in Boston was injured after being struck by a vehicle on Friday. The pedestrian was struck while walking on Blue Hill Avenue at 8:42 am. Police on scene report that the pedestrian was injured as a result of the collision but have not confirmed whether the pedestrian suffered any serious or life-threatening injuries.

Unlike other injury accidents that took place in Boston Friday, the vehicle driver remained on scene and cooperated with the police investigation into the crash. It is not known whether the pedestrian was in a crosswalk or other marked area when the crash occurred or whether the vehicle driver will face charges for causing the accident. Boston, MA – Police Respond to Second Hit and Run With Injuries

Boston, MA (June 30, 2018) – Police in Boston responded to two hit and run injury accidents in Boston Friday. One accident, which we previously reported, occurred on Columbia Street. The second accident happened around 10:00 pm on Bipsham Street. Officer Vladimir Levhichev responded to the scene. This crash involved two vehicles. Injuries were sustained in the accident but they are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.

Officer Levichev looked for the hit and run suspect but they were not able to be located in the immediate aftermath of the crash. The accident remains under further investigation by the Boston Police Department. No additional details surrounding the accident have been released by police.

Boston, MA – Hit and Run Leaves One Injured

Boston, MA (June 30, 2018) – Boston police were called to the scene of a hit and run on Friday. The crash originally took place on Columbia Road at approximately 1:30 pm. Police received a call around that time regarding a possible accident with injuries and responded to the scene. Upon arrival, one vehicle was located along with a person suffering from injuries sustained in the crash. Officers were unable to locate the other vehicle. Upon speaking with witnesses, it was determined that the other car left the scene prior to police arrival.

The area was searched, however, the other driver could not be located. It is expected that they will face charges for leaving the scene of an injury accident. There is no word on the condition of the injured victim or their identity. The Boston Police Department is still investigating the crash.

Falmouth, MA – Child Airlifted After Near Drowning

Falmouth, MA (June 30, 2018) – A child was airlifted to a local hospital after a near-drowning incident at a hotel pool in Falmouth on Friday. Authorities have not released the nameof the child involved, however, they say that that it is a 10 year old. The 10 year old was inside a pool at the Sea Crest Hotel around 2:45 pm Friday when the distress call came in to police and emergency officials.

Officers responded to the scene. The child was evaluated and then airlifted to a Boston hospital for immediate medical attention. There is no word on the child’s condition at this time and police in Falmouth are still investigating the incident

Lawrence, MA – Man Killed After Being Struck by MBTA Train

Lawrence, Massachusetts (June 30, 2018) – A man was struck and killed by an MBTA train on Friday morning in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Reports of the crash came in just after 11:00 am regarding the man being struck by the train at 65 Merrimack Street. The man, identified only as a 49 year old, was sitting on the platform tracks when the train came by and struck his legs. He was pronounced dead at the scene by police and medical workers.

Both the Essex District Attorney’s Office along with the MBTA are investigating the crash. It is not clear if the man was at fault at this time. No further details regarding this crash have been released.

Shirley, MA – Driver in Fatal Crash Identified

Shirley, MA (June 30, 2018) – The driver in a fatal crash that took place on Thursday in Shirley, Massachusetts has now been identified by police. The crash happened Thursday night around 11:00 pm at 134 Great Road. The accident involved two vehicles and both sustained heavy front end damage as police arrived on scene.

One woman was transported to the hospital where she later died from the injuries. Police identified the driver who caused the collision as 39 year old Victoria Marble. Marble was arrested on the scene and toxicology tests were administered. She has since been charged with OUI, reckless operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lane violation. The name of the deceased has not been released by police at this time.
