Big Rig Truck Causes Multi-Vehicle Crash in Mansfield
This morning, around 8:30 a.m., a big rig plowed through a red light intersection causing a multi-vehicle accident. The driver was trying to make a left turn, but ignored the red light and collided into traffic entering the intersection on the southbound Route 140.
Mansfield Police report the incident occurred at Route 106 and Route 140. Injuries were minimized by the use of seat belts and properly deploying air bag systems.
The southbound lanes of Route 140 were closed to traffic. Traffic was prevented from entering the Foxborough area between West Street and Cabot Blvd. Traffic was also blocked off from Route 106 through Giles Place.
A total of three cars were involved in the accident and all were removed from the scene by a tow truck.

Barnstable Collision With State Police Causes Injury to Local Man
A male was transported to Cape Code Hospital on Tuesday evening because he sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle accident. The West Barnstable Fire Department reports that the side-swipe accident included a Massachusetts State Police patrol car.
First responders were dispatched at nearly 7 p.m. to Route 149 near Osterville-West Barnstable Road. Firefighters had to use their equipment to remove the driver from the car who was then transported for medical treatment.
There were other individuals who sustained injuries, but were not transported to the hospital.
Brockton House Fire Victim Refuses Treatment
On Monday, Brockton Fire reported to a home kitchen fire. Several firefighters were on scene in the early afternoon.
The fire charred most of the cabinetry and part of the exhaust fan over the stove. The home was located on Vine Street.
Brockton fire reports that the female occupant refused treatment for her injuries. There is no further information at this time as to the cause of the kitchen fire.

Toddler Struck by Vehicle in Brockton, Suffers Injuries
At about 2:30 p.m., yesterday Brockton police and fire responded to a call on Belmont Street.
Upon arrival they discovered that a 2-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle.
The boy’s injuries required an ambulance to arrive on scene to transport him due to his injuries.
There are no further details at this time.
Dog Struck By Motor Vehicle, Injured
The Wednesday Saugus Police logs released information of a dog accident injury on Saturday.
According to the logs, a car hit a dog that was on Lincoln Avenue. This occurred at 2 a.m. and the dog was taken to Woburn Animal Hospital.
There is no further word on the dog’s condition or the cause of the accident.
String of Accidents in Revere
Wednesday’s Revere police logs were released and showed no less than six car accidents on Monday.
There was a report of a car accident on Brown Circle at 2:15 p.m. Monday.
The Target on Furlong Drive saw a car collision at 2:40 p.m. Monday.
There was a vehicle accident on Squire Road at 3:15 p.m. Monday
Ray’s Sunoco Service on Broadway reported another car accident at 3:38 p.m. Monday
The evening saw two car accidents, one at Bianco Inc. at 6:48 p.m., and one on Malden Street at 9:53 p.m..
