Accidents that involve hit-and-run drivers can be some of the most devastating as they can leave victims behind to suffer and not get the help they need. These accidents can happen with little warning, and they can leave victims dealing with injuries for years to come. No one ever expects to be in an accident, and victims who are injured deserve help for their injuries.
On May 31, a traffic accident involving a hit-and-run driver was reported to the Worcester Police Department. Emergency personnel were first alerted to the incident around 8 in the evening. First responders were dispatched to the scene on the 1st block of Berkeley Street.
Upon arrival, medical care was given to at least one victim who had sustained injuries. Police found that one of the drivers involved had fled the scene. While injuries were reported, the full extent of the injured was not initially released. However, they do not appear to have been life-threatening.
Injuries and Vehicle Accidents
Hit-and-run drivers are acting criminally, and they could be leaving victims behind them to suffer needlessly. While we must all do our part to prevent accidents, if someone causes an accident, they have a responsibility to remain at the scene. Victims who are injured can seek compensation and assistance for what happened to them so they can focus on recovery.
As concerned members of the community, we at the Jeffrey Glassman Injury Lawyers want our roads to be safe for us, our families, and all who use them. We realized that accidents can happen to even the safest drivers, so, when they do occur, we are committed to helping victims receive the aid they need to move ahead with recovery.
