A car accident can happen at any time, and they can happen to even cautious drivers. Hit-and-run accidents can be especially devastating to victims as they potentially leave victims behind who need medical attention. Drivers must remain vigilant, and, if they do cause an accident, they must take responsibility and remain at the scene.
On May 31, the Worcester Police Department responded to a two-vehicle accident involving a hit-and-run driver. The incident occurred on the 1st block of Lincoln Street and was reported to police around 2 in the afternoon. Emergency personnel responded to the scene soon afterwards and found that one of the drivers involved had fled the scene.
Police and fire departments secured the area, and they administered medical care to at least one individual who had suffered from injuries. The extent of the injuries is still being determined, but they were reported to not be life-threatening. Transfer to the hospital was not necessary.
Car Accidents and Injuries
Car accidents can cause critical injuries. Accidents that involve hit-and-run drivers can be especially difficult for victims. Fleeing the scene of an accident is a crime. In some cases, victims are left at the scene needing medical attention. When victims are injured, they can seek to recover their rights and compensation so they can focus on returning to their lives.
We are involved members of our community, and, as such, we want all drivers to remember to remain cautious and aware. At the Jeffrey Glassman Injury Lawyers, we know the consequences of inattentive driving, and we want our roads to be safe. However, we know that sometimes accidents happen even as we try to prevent them, so we are committed to helping get back to their lives by receiving the help they need.
