Motorcyclist Seriously Injured After Collision with SUV

A Tuesday night crash has left a motorcyclist in Chelmsford with very serious injuries. Responding officers first got a call just after 7:00 about a motorcycle lying on the ground in pieces at High Street and Acton Road. When officers got to the scene they discovered the injured motorcyclist as well as an SUV that had been involved in a collision with the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist was suffering from very serious injuries because of the crash. He was transported to Lowell General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The SUV driver was not injured and cooperated with police on scene.

The speed limit in the crash area is 25 mph, but there is no word on what caused the collision. Police continue to investigate the crash. The motorcyclist has not been immediately identified except as a 21 year old man from Lowell, Massachusetts.

Lynnfield Wreck Causes Injuries, Snarls Traffic

A wreck on Highway 128 southbound in Lynnfield, Massachusetts caused a host of problems on Tuesday afternoon. Just after 3:00 pm, authorities with the Lynnfield Police Department received word of a collision near exit 42, just past Walnut Street. This area is a divided highway with three travel lanes on both sides of a median.

Police report that this was a collision involving three vehicles. Two of the vehicles were pushed next to each other in perpendicular fashion while the third vehicle was disabled in the middle lane of the roadway. EMS personnel were on scene of the accident tending to injured victims. At least one of the victims was transported to a hospital with injuries.

The crash caused severe traffic issues for motorists on this stretch of road. Of the three lanes, only the far right hand lane was available for car to pass through as the other two lanes were blocked by the collision. Police did their best to route traffic into the one available lane. However, as expected, there were major delays around the crash at this time. Motorists experienced residual delays as traffic slowly resumed its regular flow after the accident scene was cleared.

Injuries, Delays Reported in I-93 Crash

A midday crash on I-93 caused injuries and major traffic delays for motorists on Tuesday. I-93 was the site of the crash on Route 128 SB at Exit 37. The call came in to the Reading, Massachusetts Police and Fire Departments around noon. First responders made their way out to the accident scene where they discovered a multiple car crash in the right lane of the highway. There were also injuries reported in this collision, although it is not known at this time whether the injuries are serious or life-threatening to those involved.

Police and emergency personnel worked on the scene for a significant time tending to injured victims, clearing the scene of debris and working to resume normal traffic flow following the accident. The right lanes of I-93 were blocked by this crash. There were significant residual delays in traffic approaching the accident scene. The delays persisted even after police cleared the accident scene and the involved vehicles were moved from the roadway. There is no word on the identities of those involved, the injured victims or the cause of the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.

Early Morning Crash on Cape Cod Results in Serious Injuries

An early morning crash in Cape Cod sent two people to the hospital early Tuesday morning. The crash occurred in the coastal village of Marstons Mills at Route 28 and Staysail Circle just after 6:30 am. The Barnstable Police and Fire Departments were called to the crash scene at that time, according to Barnstable Police Sergeant Eugene Desruisseaux.

When police arrived on scene they discovered two people suffering from injuries inflicted in the accident. According to firefighters on scene, one of the injured victims was sent to Cape Cod Hospital while the other victim was admitted to South Shore Hospital. The second crash victim suffered injuries severe enough that they had to be admitted to a trauma center at South Shore.

This wreck remains under police investigation. No details were offered regarding the cause of the crash or the identities of the victims. The current condition of the injured individuals is not known at this time.

Serious Injuries Reported in Mansfield Crash

A crash with reported serious injuries occurred in Mansfield, Massachusetts on Tuesday morning. The crash was initially called in to the Mansfield Fire Department at 11:23 am. Both fire and police officials responded to the scene of the crash shortly after the dispatch call was taken. The crash took place at the intersection of Route 106 and Copeland Drive.

The crash was so severe that the Jaws of Life had to be used to remove injured victims from their cars. The crash involved two vehicles, though no details were provided on how it occurred. One of the injured victims was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital while the other was transported to Rhode Island Hospital. Although the injuries are described a serious, police do not believe they are life-threatening. The road remained for about 30 minutes while police investigated. Shortly after noon, it was re-opened for motorists. The crash remains under investigation.

Woman Killed in Weekend Crash Identified

A woman who was killed in a weekend crash in Braintree, Massachusetts has been identified by police. Sheikeya Davis was traveling on I-93 in Braintree on Saturday around 1:00 am. Davis’s 2003 Buick Rendezvous lost control and hit a guardrail on the roadside. She then exited her vehicle. Davis was outside her vehicle when a second car came along and smashed into the Buick. The Buick was pushed into Davis who was standing in front of the car.

The driver of the second car is a 20 year old woman from Brockton. She suffered serious injuries in the crash and was taken to the hospital. Police have not identified her at this time and her current condition is unknown. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. At this time, no charges have been filed and it remains unclear whether police intend to charge the 20 year old for her role in the crash.

Injury Accident on Hamilton Street in Worcester

Worcester Police had a busy evening on Monday responding to many accidents which occurred across the city. One such accident took place on Hamilton Street, a main thoroughfare which runs east to west from the center of the city. This accident occurred in the 100 block of Hamilton at 9:00 pm. Officers received a call with details that an injury accident involving multiple vehicles had just occurred at this location.

Officers responded to the call and, upon arrival, discovered the details in the call to be accurate. They located at least one person suffering from injuries that were caused in the crash. In this case, all involved in the crash remained on scene to speak with investigating officers. The officers were able to obtain statements and complete their investigation into the accident. Traffic was temporarily detoured by the accident scene. After officers completed their crash investigation, all lanes of Hamilton were re-opened for passing motorists. There is no word on the condition of the injured at this time.

Hit and Run on Lake Avenue

In what seems to be a very unfortunate trend of not accepting responsibility, Worcester Police were called to the scene of multiple hit and run accidents across the city on Monday night. One of the numerous accidents occurred in the 1 Block of Lake Avenue at around 10:00 pm. An injured victim was discovered in the roadway at Lake Avenue by responding officers to the crash scene.

The other driver was nowhere to be found upon a police investigation of the area. The injured victim was treated by medical personnel and fortunately their injuries are not noted as life-threatening. The Worcester Police Department is actively investigating this case as a hit and run accident under department case number 2018000066217. As of this report, the driver has yet to be located.

Monday Evening Hit and Run in Worcester Leads to Injuries

Police in Worcester, Massachusetts received a call on Monday about a possible accident with injuries occurring in the 600 block of Millbury Street. Millbury Street is situated just south of the city’s downtown area. Police quickly responded to the call. Upon their arrival to the scene, officers were able to confirm that a crash had just occurred in the area. One victim was left behind at the crash site suffering from injuries that were sustained in the collision.

Officers requested a medical unit to come out to Millbury and treat the victim. First aid was given by EMTs. The other individual involved in the crash decided not to stay and speak with police as the driver quickly left the scene of the crash. Police have been unable to locate this driver as of the time this story is reported. The driver will almost certainly face charges when and if they are located. There is no word on the severity of the injuries sustained in the crash or the identify of those involved.

Boston Motorist Leaves Scene of Injury Crash

In disturbing news out of Boston, a motorist is accused of a hit and run crash causing personal injury. The incident allegedly took place around 7:00 pm on Monday evening at Franklin Park Road within the Boston City limits. Police initially responded to a call regarding an accident at that location and dispatchers sent Officer Joseph Simonson of the BPD out to investigate.

When Officer Simonson arrived he discovered one person suffering from injuries received in the accident. The injured victim was tended to by medical personnel while Officer Simonson investigated the crash. After speaking with witnesses on scene, Officer Simonson determined that this was a multi vehicle crash and that one driver fled the scene before police arrival. The BPD is classifying this incident as a hit and run with personal injuries. The driver has not been apprehended at this time and there is no word on the condition of the injured victim. Police could file criminal charges against the hit and run driver.
