While no one expects a car accident to happen to them, these accidents can occur out of nowhere. We must all do our part to prevent accidents by remaining aware of our surroundings are all times. Negligent driving is a serious matter that can cause severe injuries to victims.
On May 28, the Salem Police Department received information about a two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 8:45 a.m. Emergency responders arrived at the scene which occurred at the intersection of Hawkins and Warfel. They discovered that a 2001 Chevy 2500 being driven by Earl Hall had been attempting to back out of a driveway when Hawkins failed to see a 2001 Hyundai, driven by Nichole Price. The two cars collided, and both vehicles sustained minor damage.
Emergency responders administered medical care to both drivers at the scene, but the injuries did not appear to be serious. Statements were taken from both drivers.
