Vehicle accidents can happen even when we are not expecting them, and accidents that involve multiple vehicles can be especially dire. Negligent driving can leave people suffering from injuries and even cause fatalities. Drivers must all do their part to remain aware and do their best to keep themselves and others safe.
On June 4, a car crash involving three vehicles was reported to the Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office. First responders arrived to the scene of the collision at the intersection on Montsweag Road. Upon arrival, they found that a 2016 Volvo tractor-trailer being driven by Raymond Lemon of Ware was southbound on Route 1 when it ran into a 2015 Ford Focus. The Focus was driven by Megan Horne who was attempting to make a left turn. The crash then pushed the car into the oncoming lane where it was struck by a 2015 Toyota being driven by Betty J. Yock.
Horne suffered back and neck injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Yock was taken to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
