Vehicle accidents can occur when we are not expecting them. It is essential to remain vigilant at all times, not just when on large, busy roads. Accidents can also happen on back roads in small towns, and the impacts of some of these accidents can be far-reaching and determinantal.
On June 8, two people are in the hospital after a two-vehicle crash caused a car to veer on the road and into the side of an auto shop. Springfield Police received a call about the accident around 3 a.m. The accident occurred on 784 Bay Street. Upon arrival, police and fire found a car had gone over the curb hitting the building.
Officials used the jaws of life to remove the drivers from the vehicle, and the driver was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, but were serious. One other individual was injured in the crash, and the accident is still under investigation.
