Hit-and-Run Victim Identified, Search for Witness Ongoing

Car accidents can happen out of nowhere, and they can have fatal consequences. It is vital to remember that reckless driving can cause serious injury and can also have deadly impacts. This is why all drivers must remain attentive at all times and remember the duty of care they have to others around them.

On May 26, a man was killed after a hit-and-run crash that occurred in the Mattapan neighborhood of Boston. Massachusetts State Police identified the victim as 40-year-old Pierre Desir of Boston.

Desir was walking on Morton Street when a driver struck him. The vehicle that struck him did not stop. Upon arrival, first responders secured the scene and begin the investigation. Police are still seeking a taxi driver who may have witnessed the crash. The investigation into the accident is still ongoing by state police.

Pedestrian accidents can be some of the most catastrophic accidents because pedestrians are not protected by gear like helmets or seat belts. These accidents leave pedestrians at risk of serious injury. This is why it is so important for all drivers to keep an eye out for pedestrians and remain cautious. By the same token, pedestrians should always remain vigilant when near roads.

On May 25, the Worcester Police Department received information about a pedestrian-vehicle accident with minor injuries. The accident occurred around 3 in the afternoon at the 100 block of Summer Street. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel administered help to the pedestrian for minor injuries. While the extent of the injuries was still being determined, no fatalities were reported. The accident was cleared up within the hour.

Pedestrian and Vehicle Accident on Meridian Street

Pedestrians are not protected by helmets or other protective gear, and the injuries they sustain can be quite serious. All drivers must remember to share the road with pedestrians and pedestrians must remember to remain vigilant.

On May 25, the Boston Police Department received information about a pedestrian accident involving a moving vehicle. The accident involved minor injuries to the pedestrian, but the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. The accident occurred on Meridian Street around 3:50 p.m.

Officer Joseph Greco was the first to arrive on the scene and other emergency personnel arrived shortly afterwards. Upon arrival, medical care was administered to the victims and statements were taken. The extent of the injuries is still being determined, but no fatalities were reported.

These accidents can do serious damage, and they can have devastating impacts. It is important for all drivers to remember to look out for pedestrians and for pedestrians to remember to remain cautious and vigilant when crossing streets.

On May 25, the Boston Police Department received a report of a moving vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. The accident occurred around 6:20 in the morning on Bennington Street. Officer Robert Connolly initially responded to the scene, and other emergency responders arrived shortly after receiving notice of the accident.

Upon arrival, first responders administered care to the pedestrian who was injured and secured the scene for an investigation into the accident. The injuries were reported to be minor and non-life-threatening, but the extent of the injuries is still under review.

Update: Pedestrian Identified in West Bridgewater Accident

Accidents involving both vehicles and pedestrians often cause serious injuries to the pedestrian. Without the protection of a vehicle, pedestrians are particularly vulnerable and can sustain life-changing injuries when involved in an accident.

A pedestrian was severely injured on Sunday night after being hit by a car and has recently been identified. 28-year-old Vasiliki Vasvatekis is a Bridgewater resident who was struck by a vehicle while walking outside. According to initial reports, Vasvatekis was struck by a 42-year-old man as he drove his vehicle. West Bridgewater Police responded to the incident around 9 p.m.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers found Vasvatekis had serious head and leg injuries. She was taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton for initial treatment. She was later transported via medical helicopter to Boston Medical Center to receive further treatment for her injuries.

The risk of serious injury is exceptionally high with these kinds of accidents. It is important for vehicle drivers to remember to watch for pedestrians and use caution and it’s equally important for pedestrians to remain vigilant while they move through these areas.

On May 21, police responded to an incident that occurred around 9 p.m. The accident occurred on West Center Street, near 106 and the Route 24 overpass. Upon arriving at the scene, police discovered an injured pedestrian who is suspected to have been hit by a passing vehicle.

Pedestrian Accident Reported on Marcella Street

Cambridge Police responded to Marcella Street for a report of a hit-and-run incident. A pedestrian was hit and had to be taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for minor injuries. This is all that is known about this accident at this time.

Two Arrested for Hitting Springfield Police Officers with a Vehicle

Drunk driving is a serious offense. The actions of drunk drivers can leave innocent people with injuries.

Police arrested two men after they crashed their car into two Springfield police officers during a drunk driving stop. Police have charged Abismael Martinez and Jason Matos with assault and other charges. The two police officers are expected to be all right even though they did have some injuries.

Ludlow Pedestrian Accident Injures Teen

On May 22, a teenager in Ludlow was hit by a motorist in front of Baird Middle School. The 14-year-old student was using the crosswalk when he was hit. The adult motorist who hit the boy was driving slowly, and this incident is still being investigated. The teen was taken to Holyoke Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Woman Hit by Car and Rushed to Hospital in West Bridgewater

A woman suffered from life-threatening injuries after she was hit by a car on Sunday night in West Bridgewater.

This happened at West Center Street at around 9 at night. A 28-year-old woman was taken to the hospital and then air-flighted to Boston Medical Center.
