They discovered that a 2001 Chevy 2500 being driven by Earl Hall had been attempting to back out of a driveway when Hawkins failed to see a 2001 Hyundai, driven by Nichole Price. The two cars collided, and both vehicles sustained minor damage.

Emergency responders administered medical care to both drivers at the scene, but the injuries did not appear to be serious. Statements were taken from both drivers.
