Police Officer Stabbed in Neck

A police officer was severely hurt on Thursday morning after she was stabbed in the neck while trying to handcuff a woman.

The 39-year-old woman who stopped the officer is in custody. The stabbing happened at around 10 in the morning at 5 Constitution Plaza.

Mass Police Identify Templeton Crash Victim

Massachusetts State Police identified the victim killed in a crash on Wednesday evening as Stephen Witkowski, 56. He was taken to Heywood Hospital in Gardner after the crash on Route 2. He was pronounced dead while at the hospital.

Car Hits Train Near Stafford-Monson Line

Route 32 was closed part of the day on Tuesday before of an accident near the Connecticut-Massachusetts line. This happened after a car hit a train.

It appears that the car did not stop even though the railroad crossing lights were on. The New England Central Railroad train hit the vehicle.
