Salem, MA (June 27, 2018) – A two car accident in Salem, Massachusetts on Tuesday resulted in injuries to at least one driver. The accident happened at 6:05 am on Interstate 95, near exit 47. Massachusetts State Police responded to the scene and began investigating the crash.
When police arrived, they discovered a two car crash involving a 2015 Nissan and a 2008 Ford F-150 pickup. The Nissan driver has been identified as a 24 year old from Clinton and the Ford F-150 driver is identified as a 35 year old man from Peabody. State police have not said how the accident occurred, but at least one vehicle ended up off the roadway and in the woods. One person was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. No word at this time on the identity of the drivers or whether charges will be filed. The accident is pending further investigation.
