Truro, MA – Car and Motorcycle Collide

Truro, MA (July 2, 2018) – A car vs. motorcycle collision took place in Truro, Massachusetts on Sunday. The accident happened just before 9:00 pm near Pilgrim Heights. According to Truro Police, the crash involved the motorcycle and Volkswagen Tiguan. The motorcycle was lying on its side in the roadway when police arrived. A second motorcyclist had to “lay down” his bike to avoid becoming part of the collision as well.

Harwich, MA – Two Volvos Collide, Injuring Three

Harwich, MA (July 2, 2018) – A collision involving two Volvos left three people in the hospital on Sunday in Harwich, Massachusetts. Around 2:00 pm, the two cars were traveling near the intersection of Queen Anne Road and Oak Street when they collided with one another. Police say that one of the Volvo drivers, identified only as a male, ran a stop sign and collided with the other Volvo. The resulting t-bone impact caused three people to sustain injuries.

An ambulance transported all three injured victims to nearby Cape Cod Hospital. The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Harwich police charged the male driver with failing to stop at a stop sign.

Worcester, MA – Accident on Main Street Causes Injuries

Worcester, MA (July 1, 2018) – The weekend got off to a rather inauspicious start in Worcester amid reports of a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Saturday morning. The report came in to the Worcester Police headquarters just after 10:00 am. A caller advised that there had just been a wreck in the 800 block of Main Street. After learning details of the call, dispatchers alerted on duty patrol officers to respond to the scene.

When police arrived on Main Street, they were able to confirm that there was a multiple vehicle accident at this location. They also confirmed that at least one person had sustained injuries in this crash. Fire and rescue personnel also arrived on scene to assist. There is no update at this time on the condition of the injured victim or whether their injuries are believed to be serious or life-threatening.

Police are actively investigating this crash to determine why it occurred. They are looking at several factors, including speed, reckless driving, inattentive driving, as well as violations of any traffic laws which might have led to the crash. No further information is available at this time.

Worcester, MA – Accident on Gold Star Boulevard

Worcester, MA (July 1, 2018) – An accident with injuries was reported to Worcester police around noon on Saturday, June 30th. Reports indicate that the crash occurred within the Worceseter city limits in the 100 block of Gold Star Boulevard. Gold Star Boulevard is located just off the downtown area in a busy section of the city.

Officers responding to this location found that multiple cars were involved in the crash. Unfortunately, there were also injuries reported in the collision though the extent of injuries is unknown at this time. Police have not determined a cause for the crash and will continue their investigation. All involved in this accident cooperated with officers on scene. Worcester, MA – Injuries in Accident on 200 Grafton Street

Worcester, MA (July 1, 2018) – There were multiple injury accidents which took place early Saturday afternoon in the city of Worcester. Police responded to at least three of these accidents, all occurring around 2:00 pm.

One such accident happened in the 200 block of Grafton Street. Grafton Street is located in the center of town. Police responded to this location amid reports of a multiple vehicle accident with injuries. Upon their arrival, it was confirmed that, in fact, the accident involved injuries to at least one person.

Fire and rescue officials assisted police with the accident recovery and investigation. Medical treatment was provided to the injured victim, whose condition is not known at this time. The affected area was congested with traffic for a period of time following the accident and experienced some residual delay after the crash was cleared. The accident cause remains under investigation at this time and there is no word on whether any charges are expected to be issued.

Worcester, MA – Accident Causing Injury on Millbury Street

Worcester, MA (July 1, 2018) – Worcester police were called to the 1000 block of Millbury Street around 2:00 pm Saturday in reference to a multi vehicle accident with injuries sustained. Officers quickly responded and discovered at least one person was injured by the crash. First aid was given on scene and the injured victim was taken to a nearby hospital to be further evaluated for their injuries. There is no additional word on their condition at this time.

Traffic on Millbury Street experienced delays as a result of the crash. Officers remained on scene for a brief period of time to complete their crash investigation before re-opening the affected travel lanes. Those involved in this crash have not been identified. No citations were immediately issued as a result of the accident. Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash as of Saturday evening.

Worcester, MA – Injury Accident Reported on Dorcester Street

Worcester, MA (July 1, 2018) – Saturday afternoon turned out to be anything but leisurely for officers with the Worcester Police Department. Several car accidents were reported across the city which kept officers busy responding to calls. One such call came in around 5:00 pm. This accident occurred in the 100 block of Dorcester Street.

Police quickly arrived on scene within minutes of receiving the initial dispatch. Upon arrival, it was apparent that at least one person had suffered injuries in the crash. A medical unit was asked to respond to the scene to treat the injured. Medical assistance was then given. There is no further word on the condition of the accident victims or the cause of this crash. Worcester, MA – Officers Respond to Injury Accident on Merrick Street

Worcester, MA (July 1, 2018) – Worcester Police spent their Saturday evening responding to a series of injury accidents across the city. At 9:00 pm, patrol officers were dispatched to the 1 block of Merrick Street for a multiple vehicle accident with personal injuries. Police on scene requested medical assistance to treat the injured victims. Medical units responded to the crash and treated one person for their injuries resulting from the crash.

Swansea, MA – 76 Year Old Man Dies in Bicycle Crash

Swansea, MA (July 1, 2018) – Tragedy struck for a bicyclist on Saturday morning in Swansea, Massachusetts. Police there say 76 year old Jose Pacheco was riding a bike in the 500 block of Bark Street when he was struck by a a Jeep Wrangler. Police received a call immediately after the accident an came to the scene. Pacheco was suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Swansea police detective Jonathan Boyd and Patrolman Kyle Harmon are investigating the cause of the crash. They are being assisted by crash reconstruction specialists with the Massachsuetts State Police. No charges have been issued at this time, however, police have not said whether they expect to later issues charges. The driver of the Jeep was identified as a 46 year old woman from Somerset, Massachusetts. No additional information about the crash is available at this time.
