injury-attorney-300x199Centerville, MA (July 2, 2018) – A serious rollover crash took place on Monday in Centerville, Massachusetts.  The crash happened at 571 South Main Street.  The Barnstable police department and fire officials from Marstons Mills responded to the crash scene.  Upon arrival, they discovered a car turned onto its side lying in the roadway.  A large boulder was lying nearby the vehicle. It is unclear if the vehicle was transporting the boulder at the time the collision occurred.

Police and rescue workers used hand tools to extricate the driver from the vehicle.  He was transported via ambulance to Cape Cod Hospital with unknown injuries.  A towing company was called in to move the boulder out of the roadway.  Officers remained on scene for approximately an hour to help clear away the wreckage and allow traffic to return to normal.  No further details are available at this time.

Vehicle Accident on Harvard StreetWest Dennis, MA (July 2, 2018) – Two people were hurt in a rear-end collision in West Dennis, Massachusetts on Monday.  The crash happened on Monday morning at Route 28 near Trotting Park Road at 10:40 am. Dennis police responded to the crash scene.   Fire and ambulance personnel also responded upon reports of injuries.  Two people involved in the crash were taken to Cape Cod Hospital with injuries.  The extent of their injuries are unknown at this time.

Dennis police are still investigating the crash.  There is no word on any possible charges at this time.  The drivers involved have not been identified.

Accident Involving Police Vehicle on Causeway StreetWorcester, MA (July 2, 2018) – A hit and run in Worcester left at least one person injured on Sunday.  Police responded to a call for a hit and run accident with injuries in the 100 block of Grafton Street around 12:00 pm on Sunday July 1st.  Upon their arrival, police located one person who was involved in this crash.  The person had sustained injuries in the collision, although the extent of injuries is currently unknown.  After a thorough search, officers were unable to locate the other driver involved.

Worcester police continue to investigate the hit and run under department case number 2018000071833.  Charges are pending against the driver when they are located.  The identity of the injured victim was not immediately made available by police.

Vehicle Accident on Exit 26Interstate 84 (July 2, 2018) – A head-on collision between two vehicles left people with serious injuries on Sunday evening.  Police say the crash occurred in the westbound lanes of the highway between exits 60 and 61 when two vehicles traveling in the opposite direction collided with one another.  When police arrived on scene both cars involved in the crash had caught fire.  It is unknown if anyone was inside the vehicles when the fire began.

A helicopter was called to the scene but was later called off.  Both drivers were transported by ambulance to a local hospital with serious injuries.  At this time, the extent of the injuries and whether they are considered life-threatening is not known.

Hit-and-Run Crash in Needham Involving MotorcycleLowell, MA (July 2, 2018) – Two motorcyclists in Lowell, Massachusetts collided with a car on Sunday resulting in injuries to the motorcyclists.  Police say that a 39 year old woman from Lowell and a 38 year old man from Dracut were riding a motorcycle near the corner of Lakeview Avenue and Fisher Street on Sunday afternoon.  The motorcycle then collided with a Sedan turning off of Fisher Street.

Witnesses at the scene reported that the collision caused a compound fracture for one of the motorcyclists. Emergency units, along with police, rushed to the scene.  Lowell firefighters were also called to the scene to clean up a spill caused by the crash.  The injured riders were taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital where their condition is currently unknown.  The operator of the sedan escaped the crash without injuries.

Police have not released a cause for the crash nor have they said who might be responsible.  Traffic in the area was shut down for at least two hours while police remained on scene to investigate.  No other information was immediately available.

images-1-9Springfield, MA (July 2, 2018) – Springfield police were busy early Sunday morning responding to an injury accident.  The crash happened at a four way intersection on Meliville Street and Merrimack Avenue.  Lt. Ervin Greene with the Springfield Police reports that the crash involved two vehicles at the intersection.  The force of the collision caused one of the vehicles to roll over and land on its side.  The vehicle was still lying sideways when police arrived on the scene.

One person was injured in this crash and was taken to a hospital via ambulance.  The extent and severity of their injuries was not immediately known.  Springfield police continue to investigate and have not said what caused the crash nor have they issued any charges for the collision at this time.  Further information will be reported as it becomes available.

hospitalroom1-300x200Shelburne Falls, MA (July 2, 2018) – At least two people were seriously injured on Route 2 in a head-on collisions that took place in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts Sunday.  Officers received reports of the two vehicle crash around 10:45 am on Sunday.  The drivers of both vehicles, identified only as a man and a woman were transported to a local with serious injuries.  It is unknown at this time whether the injuries are life-threatening.  Police have not said which driver initially crossed over the center line.

Traffic in the area was heavily affected after the crash.  The roadway was blocked for several hours while police worked the scene.  A detour was in place to re-route all incoming traffic on Route 2.  The Massachusetts State Police accident reconstruction team is assisting local authorities to piece together the accident.  There is no word at this time on any potential charges stemming from this collision.

images-1Burlington, MA (July 2, 2018) – A three car crash occurred in Burlington, Massachusetts Sunday evening.  The crash happened on Route 128 just before Wynn Street and involved three vehicles.  Neither the vehicles involved, nor the drivers were immediately identified by police.  Officers, along with fire and rescue personnel came to the scene.  An EMS was on site treating injured victims.  At least one victim was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries sustained in the accident.

Burlington police are still investigating the crash and have not released word on the cause.  There is no word on whether anyone will be charged for their role in the accident.  Traffic in the area was momentarily slowed while police investigated and cleared the accident.  Within an hour, police completed their investigation and the road re-opened for traffic.

images-2Harwich, MA (July 2, 2018) – An off-road weekend adventure turned to tragedy for an ATV rider in Harwich, Massachusetts.  Harwich police, fire and rescue officials were called to the scene of an accident at Jay Z Drive around 3:00 pm on Sunday.  The call was in reference to an ATV which had flipped over, causing serious injuries to at least one of the occupants.

The Massachusetts Enviornmental Police rushed to the scene shortly after receiving the call.  There, they found an ATV occupied by a driver and one passenger.  Neither the driver nor passenger were wearing helmets.  Police were able to locate a man who was injured in the crash.  The man was breathing but unconscious.   He was tended to on scene before being transported to Cape Cod Hospital with injuries to his upper torso.  No further word is immediately available on his condition.  The other person in the ATV, a female, was not injured.  Police have not said what caused the accident to occur.
