This morning, in Brockton, an unidentified female was hit by a vehicle.Brockton Pedestrian hit by Car, Sustains Serious Injuries

She was taken to Boston Medical Center by Brockton Fire Department with severe injuries.

The female pedestrian was hit on Gladstone Street. The accident occurred around 11 a.m., no other details have been released by Brockton police.

The injuries were to the lower part of her body.

Springfield police shut down Bradley Road early this morning due to a car accident. The vehicle hit a pole in the middle of the night. The road was closed for hours. Springfield's Bradley Road Shut Down After Overnight Crash

According to Springfield Police Sgt. Piemonte the collision occurred around 4 a.m.

There were no injuries reported and the driver was the only one on the vehicle. There was extensive damage to the pole, such that an Eversource crew was dispatched to begin repairs.

Bradley Road re-opened around 3 p.m. The Springfield Police Department is still undergoing a review of the accident to determine the cause.

Today, the City of Plymouth police released their logs for reports of motor vehicle accidents. Today’s reports covered the week ending in Friday April 20. City of Plymouth Sees Numerous Car Accidents During Week Ending in April 20

On Monday, April 16, there were two morning car accidents reported on Route 3. At about 2: 00 p.m. another collision occurred, which was reported from Long Pond Road. All parties involved in that incident remained on scene to exchange information. There was a final accident at about 6: 30 p.m., reported on Court Street. There were no further details about injuries or causes of the accidents.

On Tuesday, April 17, there were three car accidents in Plymouth in the afternoon. They occurred on Home Depot Drive, Court Street and Commerce Way. None was reported as being hit-and-run accidents. Two collisions occurred in the evening on State Road and Summer Street. Again, no further information was released as to causes of the accidents or injuries.

The portion of the highway near MacArthur Blvd to Otis Rotary in Bourne, was closed off.

The highway was reopened several hours later. However, another lane remained close for repairs to a pole.

An officer was dispatched to 466 Newbury St., at approximately 6:50 p.m., for a hit-and-run accident. There were no further details on the extent of damages, or cause.

Officers were also dispatched to Andover Street, at around 8:30 p.m., for another hit-and-run accident. No further details were provided.

Police reported to 8 Bow Street at about 1:30 p.m.

While there, they discovered a hit-and-run accident scene with damage.

A witness spoke to authorities, however no further details have been released publicly.

Yesterday, Friday, April 20, law enforcement officers reported to the area of Highland Avenue and Freeman Road, at approximately 10:35 a.m., in SalemSalem Car Accident Caused by Falling Debris from Truck

The cause for the dispatch was a report of accidental vehicle damage. A female was driving southbound on Highland Avenue when a piece of plywood flew off of the back of a truck driving in front of her. The plywood hit her 2011 Toyota on the driver’s side of the bumper and puncturing her left-rear tire.

The driver of the truck remained at the scene and provided information. The plywood was removed from the road.

Police gave him a citation for the unsecured plywood. The 2011 Toyota was removed from the scene by a tow truck.

Thirty-one-year-old Katherine Ibanez was driving her car in Attleboro earlier this month, when she suddenly jerked her car to avoid hitting another car.

“My car just spun all the way around. And then when I looked down, I had a pole stuck right here, [chest]”

The foot-long pole crashed through her windshield and into her arm, chest and back. Her lung was punctured in the collision. The pole caused extensive damage throughout her body, but sparing her main artery.

Ibanez was admitted for nine days in the hospital and her medical procedures are not over. She has already had numerous blood transfusions and surgeries, with more to come.

Today the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office has released more information on the woman who died several hours after the Thursday morning Brockton Gas Depot car crash. Terri Degennaro of Brockton Identified as Woman Who Died Hours After Gas Depot Crash (Update)

She has been identified as Terri Degennaro, a 54-year-old resident of Brockton. After the accident she declined medical treatment at the scene, and declined transport to a hospital. She was assessed at the scene by first responders, however later in the day she did arrive at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital seeking help with injuries. She was ultimately transported to Boston’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She ultimately died there.

On the Thursday morning Degennaro was driving east on Perkins Street at almost 10:30 a.m., and it was at that time that the black GMC Yukon crashed into her vehicle. The accident occurred at the intersection on Main Street. The Yukon continued to barrel down the road, into the Gas Depot and onto another vehicle, before coming to rest.

An inquiry continued into the two-car head-on crash in Wilmington, Massachusetts, which caused injuries to both motorists.Head-On Collision in Wilmington Under Investigation

Reports from law enforcement indicate that the accident happened at Hopkins Street at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

There were no other occupants in the vehicles.

One driver was a man who suffered serious injuries, and the other driver was a woman whose injuries were not as severe. Both were transported to the hospital.

The cause behind the incident is unknown at this time.
