Motorcycle Crash in Worcester, One Fatality

Motorcycle accidents can be some of the most lethal accidents that happen on roads. These accidents can be devastating. Drivers must remember that they share the road with motorcyclists, and motorcyclists must also drive with caution. Accidents that cause fatalities are tragic, and we all need to do our part to prevent them.

On May 29, a 31-year-old motorcyclist died after suffering from injuries in a collision with a car. First responders received information about the crash around 10:30 on Tuesday and responded to the scene at Plantation Street near the I-290 on-ramp.

When police arrived, they found that several motorists had stopped at the scene to try to help the woman. Worcester emergency personnel provided medical care at the scene, and the woman was taken to a local hospital. She was pronounced dead shortly after her arrival there.

Early investigations indicated that the motorcyclist collided with the passenger-side door of a 2001 Toyota being driven by a 79-year-old Worcester resident. No citations have been filed. The woman who passed away will not be identified until her family members are notified.
